Dear Editor:

I just wanted to write and say how impressed I am with Susan Happ and her list of endorsers who support her candidacy for district attorney. I have never seen so many people in law enforcement, the legal community and community leaders support any candidate. This isn’t just anybody who endorsed her. You’ve got two assistant district attorneys in that office, 3 police chiefs, 8 detectives, 17 deputies, 4 sergeants and so many more. These are the folks who deal with the district attorneys office every day and know what we need in our next district attorney. I trust their judgment about the skills and abilities Susan will bring to that office. Susan Happ is a lifelong resident of our county and has been involved in our community her whole life. Susan has a vested interest in our citizens and will work hard for them. She has been practicing law for ten years in Jefferson County – unlike her opponent who is just two years out of law school. Now I’m no lawyer, but its obvious to me that Jefferson County needs a district attorney as respected and experienced as Susan Happ. My vote is for Susan Happ.
